The theme for this year is continuing that of last year “Challenging Markets and Innovative Solutions” and we expect this theme will continue to be relevant for years to come.

Because that is the environment our industry faces after a series of global and local events in 2023 which have placed pressure on insurer capacity to accept risk and provide the security our customers expect and need. On top of this New Zealand in particular is facing the reality of two quarters in recession and a very tough economic outlook for NZ businesses and their customers.

“Innovative Solutions”

Because that is what Underwriting Agencies have always looked to bring to the challenges that insurance brokers and their customers are experiencing, and this is especially so with the more recent emerging technology innovation including AI.

This is a wonderful opportunity for our members and supply partners to demonstrate their service offerings and solutions to our target audience of insurance brokers.

The 2023 NZUAC Expo marked a significant milestone in the industry, bringing together nearly 200 attendees and 22 exhibitors at the Grand Millennium in October.

This inaugural event set a high standard, delivering a memorable half-day experience filled with informative presentations, engaging panel discussions, and ample networking opportunities.

Attendees had the chance to connect with exhibitors, gaining firsthand insights into their products and services while fostering both new and existing relationships and connections.

With a dynamic atmosphere buzzing with enthusiasm and collaboration, the expo served as a catalyst for innovation and growth within the New Zealand Insurance community.
